We could’t go through the month of March without posting up something for you guys, so we’ve decided to just bunch everything into a super sized podcast double feature of Alita: Battle Angel and Gundam NT.
(0:00 – 1:02:10) Review: Alita: Battle Angel – Hitting off one of the super anime type movies for the month of February is the acclaimed Alita film, which did not get the type of negative feedback like Ghost in the Shell got a while ago. Both Dustin and Jonn go into the film and compare the film setting to what was used from the manga/anime. This also gets them talking about other fine films from Robert Rodriguez, the future of upcoming “soon to be” anime-to-live action films, don’t ever buy a Mitsubishi Mirage and much more.
(1:02:10 – 2:32:03) Closing Remarks from early March: These are more recent discussions from when we recorded this segment at the beginning of this month, to include topics such as Dustin going to AgamaCon and SC Comicon, chilling with Tiffany Grant (EDIT: Check our Review section for our Tiffany Grant interview because the audio link to the Tiffany Grant interview showed up on iTunes instead of our real podcast episode, so hopefully by removing the link that was here before that should get things fixed), getting to meet WWF wrasslers, Dustin chair breaks mid-recording, the Meson saga update, the epic Joe Rogan/Alex Jones Return episode talk(aka SCREW YOU JONES, WE OUT DID THE LENGTH OF THAT PODCAST SUCKAHHH!), Dustin and Josh troll Ghost on his new show, RIP Jan Micheal Vincent and Keith Flint and much more.
(2:32:03 – 2:33:14) Rightstuf Promo
(2:33:14 – 3:17:30) Review: Gundam NT Narrative – This was recorded at the end of February, which cinematic time wise it’s what came next in theaters after Alita. This particular film was a first for Gundam in America, since it’s the only Gundam property to make it to the big screen (and did so successfully than say another film), but was meet rather poorly, at least to Dustin point of view when he was awake during the film. Both Jonn and Dustin had different ideas on what the film could’ve been, which Dustin would’ve been fine with a Kelly’s Heroes Gundam type movie the way it should’ve been. This also discuss the biggest Unicorn podcasters in the past few years, some Alita talk and much more.
(3:17:30 – 4:54:19) Closing Remarks: Only a handful of things to discuss in this one, but one in particular just made us a pure VICtim to the online drama surrounding the whole #KickVic fiasco. This also includes shady Filipino eBay people, our thoughts on that Green New Deal bouncing around out there, RightStuf Gundam talk, what would America be like if John McAfee got elected as our next president and much more.

AoY Podcast #99 – Space Adventure Cobra TV Review
Also known as: “DAMMIT, BENNETT THE SAGE HAS HACKED OUR NETWORK!!”
Download Episode HERE! (Total Time: 1:23:58)
This has been a long time coming, and its about time to bring on the space bootyliciousness into our podcast with Space Adventure Cobra.
(0:00 – 01:11:38) Review – Space Adventure Cobra TV – This was recorded in two different days, because for some unholier than thou reason, Skype was being a butt for two days, or maybe its just our internet at the time. Anyways, Jonn and Dustin travel across the galaxy in search of fine interstellar ladies and ones that turn into giants. Cobra is just good stuff period, in every episode, even when Dustin can’t recall most of it (since its been about 2 years since he last saw it). Upon the hosts travels to space casinos and combating against cyborg mermaid gynoids, the podcast crew goes a bit off topic on things like how Dustin panel for AWA didn’t go through, upcoming book fests in SC, Harry Potter talk, both Dustin and Jonn talk about moving (which, happened a month ago for me. Shows the timeliness of these podcast releases am I right – Dustin), The Fast Karate Podcast numbering system, Amazon prime has Macross, Mospeda and Southern Cross, which then just digresses to Macross licensing talk, other Cobra anime, how Trump will make Celebrity Apprentice for government positions (looking at you Dennis Rodman) and much much more.
(23:07 – 23:52) RightStuf! Promo – This was thrown into the review during our constant Skype issues, but RightStuf! has a sale on Viz and Funimation products going on right now. During the promo Dustin says the promo code to use, so give it a listen if you want your animoo swag on discount, cuz all ya’ll broke in some way.
(01:11:38 – 1:23:58) Closing Remarks – This gets us into why Dennis Rodman has some good points to him (though very few), TCR Ghost conspiracies, Dustin and others continued hatred towards Anime Abandon, Jason Bourne movie was alright, and MORE SKYPE ISSUES!!! See yea for episode 100!!!
Music Selection:
OP – Cobra is a true kinda guy
This show has:
AoY Podcast #93 – Magic Users Club OVA Review
Also known as: “You’re not required to watch every… Precure Pedicure…”
Download Episode HERE! (Total Time: 1:31:05)
What better way for our podcast to celebrate the America’s 240th Fourth of July with a little bit of magic, where this time we review Magic Users Club.
(0:00 – 40:15) Review: Magic Users Club OVA – This is gonna be one of those corporate mandated anime reviews by our “Shogunate of Anime” content provider, RightStuf! This time we got a 6 episode 90’s OVA about basically if your schools Harry Potter club was sticking it to your schools anime club, with a love triangle added into the mix. Both host Jonn and Dustin give this show a fair pass, and they’ll get around to the TV series eventually to review.
(40:15 – 1:31:05) Closing Remarks – As per usual, both host talk about issues that came up in the month of May when this was recorded, which means they don’t have much of an impression over a month later, but oh well. We bring up James Rolfe viewpoints on the new Ghostbusters film and the SJW retaliation against that. We also discuss how Chris Chan wants a job at Sega on his terms, how internet piracy has changed over the past decade, our opinions on how to support the anime industry, Dustin love for Pure Pwnage, the need for comments on our site, Rotten Tomatoes is a rotten review site, and much more.
Music Selection:
OP – The national anthem for the Japanese Harry (Satanist) Potter Club…
ED – This anime magic might just have a hold on you tonight…
This show has:
Stick it to the SJW-man…
“Dear Sega, please forgive me for trying to kill your president over the blue arms, I need a job badly.” – Christine Chan
This was a long time coming for Pure Pwnage fans…
AoY Podcast #86 – The RightStuf Product/Spectre Review
Also known as: “It’s Allah of….Yesterday…”
and also: “It’s all… good… clean, big booty fun!”
Download Episode HERE! (Total Time: 2:14:40)
We can officially announce that we have once again sold out to “The Man,” particularly the RightStuf Man. This time we have a pretty full show of Jonn and Dustin reviewing RightStuf! Mobile Suit Gundam and Zeta Gundam Blu-ray Sets, Space Adventure Cobra DVD Set and the latest Bond movie Spectre.
(0:00 – 52:08) The RightStuf! Product Review – Gundam Blu-Ray’s and Cobra DVD Set: After about taking a month for both hosts to get their products from RightStuf!, they can both talk about the special features and quality of the packages. Jonn and Dustin talk about mostly the 30th Anniversary interviews with the Gundam staff on the second blu-ray collection of Mobile Suit Gundam, which is just laughing at how old men can still hold grudges from a show that’s 37 years old now. Both host’s talk about the Buichi Terasawa interview from the Cobra DVD’s and its packaging, and our own review of that show will come out in due time. We also mention general Gundam talk, other mech shows, Terasawa and his Big Booty loves, SJW v. not-anime-yet, being praised in class for being a nerd, and more.
(52:08 – 53:19) RightStuf! Bootleg Promo: Our podcast never got an “official” promo from RighStuf!, so it was best to make up our own for starters. Right now (as of March 5th), Gundam and Vertical had a sale, which might still be going on? We want to thank Vanessa Williams for providing the background song for our promo, and we would really like to thank her lawyers for not finding out about this podcast because we used such song that would fit with this RightStuf! promo without “official” consideration from her record label. Now moving on…
(53:19 – 1:19:35) Movie Review – Spectre: Here we have an example of a review seen by one person who saw it the day it came out, and other who saw it the other day. The time gap is large enough to show that the former forgot most of the movie, leaving the latter to pick up the slack of events that happened. Long story short, both host made this review short and to the point, and talked about other James Bond related things. I mean, its been 3 years since both hosts talked about James Bond, so hopefully the next film comes a bit sooner.
(1:19:35 – 2:14:40) Closing Remarks (a.k.a Dustin disses on Initial D haters): Like the usual formula, Chris Chan gets brought up to talk about how he self promotes people he doesn’t like without knowing it, which then leads to Dustin throwing down his Initial D street cred against Anime World Order review of Initial D, and tries to answer that why question the AWO hosts asked on their podcast. You could say Dustin cranks up his hypothetical Toyota AE86 for our 86th podcast, because that is how fate would have it! This of course leads to people we know on twitter who are having a hard time in life, former AIM and Toonzone drama, and more.
Music Selection:
OP1 – We’re kinda the new kids on the block when it comes to product reviews…
OP2 – James Bond is Back!!!
This show has:
The next James Bond…perhaps?
What feels like the start of every Roger Moore Bond film…
This could happen to the anime community… maybe?
