So since everything con related is closed forever in 2020, let’s talk about the cons that Dustin and Cloud went too that happened last year that some have been sitting on the backburner for over a year at this point. This also marks our 150th episode!
(0:00 – 1:05:00) Animazement 2019 Review – This is one of many cons that didn’t and wasn’t going to happen this year, but hey its ok, you can hear about the fun time Dustin had 14 months ago. This includes Dustin being on the AnimEigo panel thanks to Robert Woodhead, meeting industry vets like Evan Jones, the best panel done by Phil Lee, con security talk, stories involving sketchy post offices in the middle of South Carolina, trash talking Universal Studios according to Josh Fairhurst, the yearly entertainment of street preacher vs. convention attendees, us being wrong about Macross license rights, and plenty more!
(1:05:00 – 1:21:15) Closing Remarks Part A – Who cares about old news from a year ago? No really, who would care? Probably no one, but oh well. It’s nothing special regarding outdated info on Chris Chan, the Ghost Show and Brexit in case anyone wants to listen or not.
(1:21:15 – 2:35:15) Anime Weekend Atlanta 2019 Review – This con was what, end of 2019 roughly, so its not too old to listen too. Dustin spins his tales of hosting badass panels, how the AWA app sucked ass, bad parents who let their kids see Descendants of Darkness, people dressed up like Antifa who scare children at panels, pissing off the ATL police MONTHS before people decided to riot in the streets to piss them off, meeting the @Blacotaku1 himself and getting cool mix VHS tapes, RIP John Witherspoon, trying to get your AMV to play at the con, and much more.
(2:35:15 – 2:44:40) Closing Remarks Part B – Old news for people who wouldn’t care regarding the DNC race in 2019, Dustin colabs with Bmar on a Ghost Trolling video, bad Bob Haney Batman comics, and Ghost talk in general.
(2:44:40 – 3:37:56) New York Anime Fest 2019 Review – This is our report from our silent contributor Cloud who went to this years New York Anime Fest. Before we dive into any con report, Dustin will cast grievance against Tom Styer for performing like crap in South Carolina DNC race. Cloud gives a run down of the con, but we go into the major guest there and his panel, Yoshiyuki Tomino. This also gets into seeing Char’s Counterattack on the big screen, audio issues, Pokemon talk, Stubbs BBQ in Austin, Texas and much more!
This show has:
RIP John Witherspoon, the Boondocks will never be the same…
Dustin involvement in the last GTC video…
This show has: “Don’t mess with me and Yugioh, i’m the King of that game!”

Sorry for the delay on getting out an episode, but after our hiatus in July, we are back with us talking about Anime Boston and Avengers: Endgame.
(0:00 – 1:12:20) Con Talk: Anime Boston 2019 – The excuse Dustin is going to give for nothing coming out for about two months is the fact that summer was busy for him to not sit down and edit something together, but that doesn’t mean we had nothing recorded. Here we have our recording from Cinco De Mayo to kick off our discussion about Anime Boston from audience member Cloud and his time at Anime Boston again. This includes talk about the new City Hunter movie, him going to panels, Steven Universe talk, people who get overly offended at conventions to complain about them on forums and much more.
(1:12:20 – 1:59:00) Avengers: Endgame Review – Seeing how this film has topped James Cameron Avatar for bestest biggest blockbuster spectacular film ever made, Jonn and Dustin go into the film and spoil things about it if you haven’t seen it yet, but that was over 3 months ago so you listener should’ve seen it by now.
(1:59:00 – 02:12:48) Closing Remarks – This one is pretty light but enough to garner some discussion on lowcows like Ghost and Chris Chan, our thoughts on that wonderful “just-came-out-of-a-time-machine-and-must-be-sent-back-to-1993” Sonic live action film, and some other interests to talk about per usual.
This show has:
Black Panther pulled the ultimate “HOLD MY DICK!” for the Avengers Team…

And also: “So is Drew Bledsoe the best anime character?”

It’s that time of year, where con season is upon us. So to kick things off as usual guests Daft and Cloud return to talk about their yearly trek to Anime Boston!
(0:00 – 51:45) The Anime Boston Chronicles: Chapter Cloud – Our resident Precure fanboy Cloud stops by and fills us in on his adventure at Anime Boston, filled with meeting Guest of Honor, buying stuff and places to eat. To find more detail about his experience go to his blog found here. This also has us chiming in on the Sailor Moon panel, places to eat in Boston, failed Adult Swim pilots about Bostonians, Leiji Matsumoto manga releases, which live action movie was worse, prices from dealers like Anime Asylum and the cel market and much more.
(51:45 – 02:44:35) The Anime Boston Chronicles: Chapter Daft – Daft joins in to go into a longer digest of the “other side” of the convention, including hotel wrasslin matches, good artists at artist ally, getting to meet Steve Blum and how he does his panels, Greg Ayres stories (including what parents thought YAOI meant in the early 2000’s), past video players like Juice Box and Game Boy Advance Video, Toonami April Fools talk, arcade games at the con, old anime trading cards, Jonn dog has a nightmare of Daft’s adventures, Sports talk with Daft and Dustin, and much more!
(02:44:35 – 03:02:37) Closing Remarks: Really nothing much was said other than the occasional Peter Fay and Love That Goku tweets, Daft trying to proposition Cloud sister into wrasslin next year, getting educated on what Easter is all about, and why the Pats let Brady literally kiss their superbowl away.

This time we discover the lost imaginary nation of Wakanda and hunt down the interests of a black panther in the Marvel universe with our review of Black Panther.
(0:00 – 57:00) Movies Review: Black Panther – Now that the film as of this episode has broken the one billion dollar box office amount, the highest rated movie on Rotten Tomatoes and is the center of American political social media discussion, both Dustin and Jonn just see the film as another Marvel movie. Both get into the politicized rhetoric of online reviewers who praise this movie, Dustin discusses Death Wish and Mazinger Z Infinity as being far better films than Black Panther, and also discuss what we liked and didn’t like about the film.
(57:00 – 2:23:25) Closing Remarks – It’s once again time for opinions about all the events that has happened in the past month since our last episode, which leaded to discussions about gun control, should teachers be armed, Alex Jones v. CNN v. Youtube, the GRAND RETURN of Love That Goku, Dustin attends the Atlanta SciFi Expo (which as of this post, the website is 404, so that should tell you something) in a ghetto mall, Jonn mentions the Black Lightning show, Toonami boob censorship, latest Chris Chan documentary and much more.

Halloween is celebrated differently by people every year. So what better way for the podcast hosts to have their own different Halloween experiences than to travel to different conventions across America. This time we have Dustin spending a few hours at Banzaicon, and Jonn spending the day at Comikaze.
(0:00 – 48:49) Con-O-Ween Part 1: Comikaze at Los Angeles, California – Jonn and his dad trekked from Arizona to the golden state to hit up Comikaze. Jonn talked about getting exhibitor passes from a local comic book shop, SJW tumblr hate speech, how Stan Lee promotes himself at his own con, the differences between comic vs. anime conventions, comic book vs. video game collecting, Jojo’s talk, partied out Ninja Turtles, the wrong directors for live action anime adaptations, anime to live action talk (mostly about Akira), Demon City Shinjuku, Harmony Gold hate, and much more.
(48:49 – 51:06) Podcast Promo’s – We want to give a personal shout out to Alpha Counter, as their latest episode #150 might be their final podcast episode. But in tribute to this, Dustin brought back an old friend to wish them a proper farewell. Fast Karate should be back eventually with new stuff, but not after streaming twitch things. Anime World Order decides that their next episode is to cover Initial D (“BUT WAIT DARYL, YOU TOLD ME YEARS AGO IN A PAST EPISODE COMMENTS THAT NO ONE ON THE AWO CREW WOULD EVER REVIEW INITIAL D BECAUSE YOU GUYS ALL HATED IT!! OH WAIT, SOMEONE PAID YOU TO REVIEW IT? NOW I SEE WHAT IT REALLY TAKES TO COVER SHUICHI SHIGENO GRAND MANGA MASTERPIECE CGI ANIMOO SERIES!!” – Inner 18 year old “die hard Initial D fanboy attitude” Dustin responding out of spite).
(51:06 – 1:36:50) Con-O-Ween Part 2: Banzaicon at Colombia, South Carolina – Across the great America’s, Dustin was taking his sweet time to get to Banzaicon, which resulted in describing what a convention looks like past 7:30 pm on a Saturday Halloween night. This of course contains how to
sucker convince the con staff to let you and your “panelist” partner in for cheap, playing some well deserved Initial D, guests at the con that Dustin never saw, 1990’s USA Network cartoons, Ani-Monday talk, how to give a yaoi panel some late night competition, and much more.
(1:36:50 – 2:05:27) Closing Remarks – This just continues into Chris Chan PSA on Halloween trans talk, Dustin explains his experience with audibly reading the Lensmen series, Dustin jacks Golgo 13 M-16, book to movie adaptations, and much more.

We figure this would be prompt and timely to release our Halloween special on the same day than for it to be later than that. As of this episode release, both host’s Dustin and Jonn are at their local conventions and will do a report on those in due time. So in order to keep up with tradition, the crew reviews Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman.
(0:00 – 27:30) Halloween Special – Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman Review: If you couldn’t tell from our spoilers from last years Halloween special (if anyone reading this even knew or listened to it), we keep up with our yearly tradition to bring on more Go Nagai Devilman goodness. We probably thought we were gonna do the Devilman TV series at the beginning of the year, but neither host owns the DVD set from Discotek, so screw it, that didn’t happen either. We pretty much run through this anime to talk about the horrors of post-apocalypse Japan, but Dustin couldn’t say to much because he didn’t want to attract too much attention to himself in his school cafeteria when this recording happened, because both hosts thought it was a great idea to record a podcast in a university cafeteria one Tuesday afternoon, to talk about Devilman of all the anime to mention in a public setting. Needless to say, he didn’t get kicked out for reviewing Devilman. We also mention how we saw this on Youtube from the worst translator on the planet, talking about what our buddy Cloud posted on our chat in the middle of recording, and how you should check out the One Pixel Jump review of Devilman as well.
(27:30 – 1:09:48) Closing Remarks: For some reason, the racist on Twitter wanted to get mad at the new Star Wars film because of their white male insecurities, which led to Jonn and Dustin talking about the Star Wars series in general. This also got them to talk about the HOT OFF THE PRESSES information of Chris Chan still not going to jail, followed by a special issue of Sonichu, our local resident fansubber gets a (TRUE AND HONEST) cease and desist notice from Funimation, our current issues with fansubbers out there, people on MAL get mad over the use of “Weeaboo,” both Jonn and Dustin talking about their Halloween convention plans, as well as Dustin panel rejection and approval issues with Banzaicon during the Halloween weekend. All this and much more in this weeks episode.

You can go ahead and consider this episode as a “bonus track” to the Animazement review in the previous episode. This was an audio recording done at the AnimEigo panel for Animazement 2015 that for people who couldn’t be there, are able to hear what was said and discussed for the most part, thanks to Zeonic inability to handle recording it on his phone in a better way.
There isn’t really a need to for a time code in this episode, as the entire thing is the panel itself. Zeonic came in a few minutes late to one question, and had some issues 5 minutes in the panel, which caused some other things not to get on the audio. But for the most part, you should be able to hear what Robert Woodhead has to say and does his best to answer questions. Zeonic himself and Anime Hell’s own Phil Lee ask the hard hitting questions to Robert, meaning the’re the questions you can hear the clearest, just FYI. The other questions involved the mention of Hanzo the Razor, the Otaku no Video Kickstarter project, public enemy own ani-twitter Hazukari asking about Boah, the mention of Minna Agechou, Wizardry, AnimEigo as a company throughout the years, and others asking about the past titles of AnimEigo being possible Kickstarter’s one day. This and a whole lot more were asked in the panel, so check that out! Also, we swear we will release an anime review next episode, you can count on that!
