This also includes side banter and closing remarks talk of Peter Fay tweets, surviving Atlanta the night Biden got elected on the news, election results talk, Baked Alaska arrest and the world around streams and the IP2 community, RIP Shoutouts to Alex Trebek, Sean Connery to name a few that have passed away, and much more!
(1:59:20 – 3:42:22) ACT 2 – Our annual Star Wars something review of The Mandalorian Season 2 – Because of the entertainment empire of Disney and their golden calf of Star Wars titles to make, Dustin and Jonn go over the Mandalorian series and hit up more on the Star Wars universe. This also gets into a rant on Anita Sarkeesian, remembering when the Bleach fandom had their online meltdown, RIP Boba Fett actor Jeremy Bolloch and Goku voice actor Kirby Marrow, classic film talk such as Gone With The Wind and Metropolis, comedians, Sealab 2021, the upcoming Star Wars series from Disney, how Mega64 makes far superior Evangelion content, Dustin and hosting his AWA panel online (you can find that here on this Google Drive file because I’d rather not put on Youtube in fear of copyright, so enjoy! – Dustin) and much more!
(3:42:22 – 5:47:42) FINAL ACT – A somewhat review of Wonder Woman 84 with a platter of a bunch of nerd ramblings – Dustin, Jonn and Daft come on the mic to give their thoughts on the latest Wonder Woman film, but in reality like 30 or so minutes was spent talking about that movie while they would rather talk about anything and everything else that sidetracked the conversation. Included in this dish is sports talk, live action shows we were watching, Jonn and Daft trash on Looney Tunes Rabbit Run, how the 80’s have warn out its welcome in media, 90’s nostalgia, cartoon remake talks, comics, how it is watching Marvel films with your parents, the Christmas gifts we got this year, Daft explains Section 230 to Dustin, and much more! There’s also a zinger about some dumb 90’s show called Van Pires that Daft wants to review, which that’s something to look forward too!

We decide to resurrect the four horsemen of the pod-calypse, with returning guest Daft and our resident ex-Gundam/Evangelion fanboy Vekou, into reviewing Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.33: You Can (Not) Redo.
(0:00 – 52:15) A Long Time Coming Review: Evangelion 3.33 – It has been almost 5 years since the four of us sat down and talked about Evangelion 2.22 in the days when were were a bunch of Kool Kids in our little podcast Klub. Now fate has finally brought us together to talk about this movie IN THE MIGHTY ELTINGVILLE CLUB MANNER! Despite who may listen to this podcast, hardcore Evangelion fan or not, this review came the day after Dustin bought his bluray copy from Best Buy, and his thoughts and emotions on this movie are rather raw. This is all in the perspective in how we all first saw this film, which you may or may not agree with our opinions on that, and that’s fine. We don’t dive into great detail in the film, but we do try and clarify a few things the best we can. Also included in our discussion is how Dustin let his girlfriend see this film for the first time WITHOUT any prior knowledge to Evangelion, the Tony Takezaki Evangelion manga, Evangelion in general, Daft and his obsession with getting an Eva Unit 01 head, 4D Evangelion, and what the hell happened to Gainax?
(52:15 – 1:38:34) THE ELTINGVILLE CLUB STYLE CLOSING REMARKS OF YOUR DOOM!! – We never “officially” announced we were in closing remarks, because with Daft and Vekou being part of the recording, Jonn and Dustin just kinda fibbed it and went along with the off topic ramblings. Somewhere along the line, we stopped talking about Evangelion, and started to talk about; the documentary of Mr. Hands, Wings of Honneamise sequel, how Dustin knows crappy hentai titles, Miyazaki boxset w/ Studio Ghibli talk, the new Lupin show (PRONOUNCED “LEU-PAWN” NOT “LEU-PIN,” GET IT RIGHT!), The Funimation/Echolight Rick Santorum conspiracy, Power Rangers fan film, the Ballet of Stewie17, Chris Chan gets interviewed, RIP to Reese White and Joe Alaskey, how we were all dead wrong on the Carolina Panthers winning the Super Bowl (except Vekou), teens who buy overpriced anime crap and more.

AoY Podcast #4 – Gainax Month #2 – Evangelion Talk (with Aaron Clark)

Were back again with more Gainax show goodness. This time, we dedicate a WHOLE EPISODE to Neon Genesis Evangelion. Not only do we geek out over Eva in general, but we have on the biggest of the Evageeks out there, Aaron Clark. We pretty much spend time on breaking down Eva and all of its meanings to us, because we assume people listening to this podcast have seen this series and are confused as hell about it. We go all over the map from merchandising, video games and everything else in between. We also spend a moment talking about Nadia, which we will cover more in the next segment (pretty sure).
