It’s that time a year again kiddies, where the Devilman comes to visit our podcast with bad tidings and fear. Only this time, he sends us this terrible 2004 live action movie instead of an anime.

(0:00 – 1:00:35) Review: Devilman (2004) – If there is one thing anyone can point out that isn’t true or cool about Devilman, its gonna be this film. We pretty much spoil about every scene so you don’t have to see it, unless you really want too by your own ambition. Both Jonn and Dustin point out at least one positive aspect of this movie, and that is Bob “The Beast” Sapp, Japan number one super, fantastical, black, kawaii celebrity! We also go off topic a bit (with a film like this, can you blame us?) on topics like who in the hell dubbed this movie, how CGI M.D. Geist spokesmecha is better looking than this, what to expect at your local redneck gun show, dumb reasons to promote Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills, and so much more.

(1:00:35 – 2:20:11) Closing Remarks – To keep up with current events, both Dustin and Jonn talk about what we have been keeping up the theme in the past closing remarks, which consist of twitter people and the American election. This time, Love that Goku goes off on Britney Spears son for dressing like Frieza, how this election could actually be rigged than Donald just assuming it might be, Dustin puts up content for The Odyssey talking about Gundam in the West and AnimeDrome, Jonn talks about what he did at Phoenix FanFest, the moral dilemma on bootleg merchandise, Tim Eldred Yamato documentary, Zeonic Republic latest blunder on their Char’s Deleted Affair release, dumb people on our chatroom, Gundam talk and much more.

Music Selection:

OP – This movie will SAPP the life outta you…

ED – Maybe next years Devilman will give us that fix again…

This show has:

BOB SAPP…

….BOB SAAAAAAAAAAAAAPP!!!

BOB SAPP WITH DEM LADIES!!!!

Bob Sapp and Japanese Diplomacy…

AoY Podcast #96 – Gundam the Origin 3 OVA Review

Once again, it’s back to back Gundam on this podcast, which might be the last time for a while, where this time Jonn and Dustin cover Gundam the Origin OVA 3: Dawn of Rebellion.

(0:00 – 17:16) Pre-Review Movie Review of Finding Dory – Sometime before the hosts get into Gundam, Finding Dory came out and Dustin talked about a bit of the film with Jonn, which then lead to the real issue of the movie: entitled millennials who think the movie is all about their childhood needs and not for the rest of the kids in the theaters. There is also some other talk about other kids movies that take forever to come out, and the lives of the rich and stupid of the New England States of ‘Merika!

(17:16 – 1:04:58) Review: Gundam the Origin OVA 3 Review – Both hosts sit down and cover the overall OVA in general of what happens, so maybe some spoilers are afoot. In all honesty, both hosts spent most of this time talking about other Gundam stuff, anime on American TV, ideas for Sunrise and Bandai to get off their butts and make a proper 40th Anniversary release of Gundam the Origin for a new audience, the change in political and individualism within Gundam, and much more.

(1:04:58 – 01:24:21) Closing Remarks: With this recording happening sometime at the end of June, both host were scrapping the bottom for closing remarks comments, but managed to scrounge some up. Jonn mentions more Ghost accusations, the conspiracy of what was in Gundam the Origin Mobile Suit Development, ideas for our 100th episode coming up soon, and much more.

SPEAKING OF OUR UPCOMING 100TH EPISODE!!: Ok, so we at the podcast take it as anyone reading this knows how to access this site from the web and gets our episodes from here. If you do, you know the internet better than most people. So here is the deal: Episode 100 is coming up and both hosts want you listeners to send us some suggestions on what to do. Should we read email sent by you? Should we do a review of something? Show off our anime collection on video? Demolition Derby? I dunno, you tell us! So to send us suggestions, email us at: aoypodcast@gmail.com, or you could tweet at us over at @AoYPodcast. It’s that simple to use guys! Depending on how many people submit ideas, Dustin and Jonn will pick the most doable idea and execute it, and there will be recognition for it! So let the podcast know by Episode 99 and we will see what happens!
– Dustin (Zeonic)

Music Selection:

OP – You will see the greatness of Char come to life…

ED – Char is coming to make change across the galaxy…

AoY Podcast #95 – Gundam Evolve Review

Because of RightStuf! efforts in putting out more Gundam, our podcast has gone through an evolutionary change with our review of Gundam Evolve.

(0:00 – 1:05:25) Review: Gundam Evolve – Our podcast has now evolved into the next stage in human nerdvolution. Gundam Evolve is 15 short films involving short side stories and what-was-then cool looking CGI 3D model effects from the early 2000’s. If you happen to be a big Gundam nerd, then this is up your ally to add to your collection. As per usual on the podcast, the review usually starts about 10 minutes after the recordings started, where Jonn and Dustin talk about the DVD cover of Super Gals! This only gives more ammunition to Dustin 1990’s memory of the only show on Nickalodeon that mattered, while both hosts go off the review grid a bit to mention the fall (and rise again) of Tokyopop, the stories behind Shin Matsunaga and Johnny Ridden, Dustin repressed 90’s pop music memories, Gundam sunglasses and much more. For a review of animated shorts after the 1990’s, this episode feels more like a 1990’s nostalgia trip than anything else.

(1:05:25 – 1:26:07) Closing Remarks – This time closing remarks are pretty short, where we mention our thoughts on the impact the Orlando Shooting had, American politics, Toon Radio stupidity, and more.

Music Selection:

OP – Gundam is an Evolution not to be reckoned with…

ED – Oops, I guess I remembered the 90’s again…

This show has:

The only show on Nickalodeon that counted…

AoY Podcast #86 – The RightStuf Product/Spectre Review

We can officially announce that we have once again sold out to “The Man,” particularly the RightStuf Man. This time we have a pretty full show of Jonn and Dustin reviewing RightStuf! Mobile Suit Gundam and Zeta Gundam Blu-ray Sets, Space Adventure Cobra DVD Set and the latest Bond movie Spectre.

(0:00 – 52:08) The RightStuf! Product Review – Gundam Blu-Ray’s and Cobra DVD Set: After about taking a month for both hosts to get their products from RightStuf!, they can both talk about the special features and quality of the packages. Jonn and Dustin talk about mostly the 30th Anniversary interviews with the Gundam staff on the second blu-ray collection of Mobile Suit Gundam, which is just laughing at how old men can still hold grudges from a show that’s 37 years old now. Both host’s talk about the Buichi Terasawa interview from the Cobra DVD’s and its packaging, and our own review of that show will come out in due time. We also mention general Gundam talk, other mech shows, Terasawa and his Big Booty loves, SJW v. not-anime-yet, being praised in class for being a nerd, and more.

(52:08 – 53:19) RightStuf! Bootleg Promo: Our podcast never got an “official” promo from RighStuf!, so it was best to make up our own for starters. Right now (as of March 5th), Gundam and Vertical had a sale, which might still be going on? We want to thank Vanessa Williams for providing the background song for our promo, and we would really like to thank her lawyers for not finding out about this podcast because we used such song that would fit with this RightStuf! promo without “official” consideration from her record label. Now moving on…

(53:19 – 1:19:35) Movie Review – Spectre: Here we have an example of a review seen by one person who saw it the day it came out, and other who saw it the other day. The time gap is large enough to show that the former forgot most of the movie, leaving the latter to pick up the slack of events that happened. Long story short, both host made this review short and to the point, and talked about other James Bond related things. I mean, its been 3 years since both hosts talked about James Bond, so hopefully the next film comes a bit sooner.

(1:19:35 – 2:14:40) Closing Remarks (a.k.a Dustin disses on Initial D haters): Like the usual formula, Chris Chan gets brought up to talk about how he self promotes people he doesn’t like without knowing it, which then leads to Dustin throwing down his Initial D street cred against Anime World Order review of Initial D, and tries to answer that why question the AWO hosts asked on their podcast. You could say Dustin cranks up his hypothetical Toyota AE86 for our 86th podcast, because that is how fate would have it! This of course leads to people we know on twitter who are having a hard time in life, former AIM and Toonzone drama, and more.

Music Selection:

OP1 – We’re kinda the new kids on the block when it comes to product reviews…

OP2 – James Bond is Back!!!

ED – If podcasting was like the Fast and Furious movies, we are the Paul Walker to the AWO Dwayne Johnson…

This show has:

The next James Bond…perhaps?

What feels like the start of every Roger Moore Bond film…

This could happen to the anime community… maybe?

Well it’s that time of the year again, where you’re flat broke from shopping from other people, and you have all that wrapping paper to pick up off the ground from your kids. We hope that this episode is the best gift you’ve gotten this year, because we decide to review the latest Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin – Artesia’s Sorrow OVA…

(0:00 – 51:42) Christmas Special Review – Gundam the Origin 2 OVA – We understand this anime came out back in October, and its only taken us now to finally sit down and review it. Our reason would be, its all Jonn Dustin fault, so there is someone to blame. We actually really liked this OVA, and are happy to see how well it will adapt the manga story, a manga story that Dustin is still reading, after having volume 5 for over a year. Will he ever finish it? Well, his lazy butt is on break, so there isn’t an excuse there. As much as our host try to stay on topic, dumb things keep coming up like talking about that crappy Yogi Bear movie, how FOX can’t make a good cartoon list, how we didn’t care about the internet opinions on Gundam the Origin, comparing real life events to Gundam, Resident Evil 4 talk, Gundam in general talk, Texan towns like Gun Barrel, DeKalb and O’Donnell, horse riding and country western talk, the Final Fantasy 7 remake, and much more.

(51:42 – 1:41:46) Closing Remarks – Dustin explains his reasoning (or lack thereof) for having a drunk podcast, Dragonball Z general summary, The GRAND RETURN OF GHOST!, Chris Chan demands an embargo on all Gamestop and Best Buy locations, Donald Trump vs. Ever Muslim Ever!, opinions on the Syrian Refugee issue, making movies for North Korea, Jonn grandmother passing, and much more.

Music Selecton:

OP – Our song to enjoy before ani-twitter shows up to ruin it…

ED – Gundam is the most Texan of Texan thing ever to be Texan…

This show has:
