This is more of an overview episode of all three series to kinda briefly summarize our thoughts on Progressive and Alternative. This also gets the episode started with how violent Jonn bird is, Dustin and his substitute teaching gig stories, how CNN bans the word “Mob”, the recent revival of old Adult Swim originals and much more.

What better way to kick off the start of 2018 with an anime that hardly no one has seen or even reviewed yet, because if you did know it, we’d have to kill you for knowing too much. This time we talk about High School Agent!
(0:00 – 43:15) Review: High School Agent – This is an anime with no Wikipedia entry, hardly nothing about it on MAL, and very little info on ANN. Only a lone fansub group has made it a priority to make this available online to whoever can find it. It’s so top secret, the UN might have to intervene in this podcast. It’s basically an OVA adaptation of a manga about a dumb high school kid who becomes a secret agent for the United Nations. Instead of stopping people behind genocide, world hunger and sex trafficking, its about stopping people who have priceless stones and neo-Nazis after Hitler’s gold. Those are way more serious international issues than what most people complain about, because High School Agent knows what’s really at stake in the world! This also includes talks about terrible commercial airline companies, how not to kill a bear, and what type of jungles exist in South America.
(43:15 – 1:41:52) Closing Remarks – This goes into the doxing of a troll gone too far towards Chris Chan, the recent American Government shutdown, Dustin pulls a cans.wav and almost breaks his headset from a birthday card, Ghost talk, past podcasts that no longer exists from Toonradio, Go Nagai shows to be remade other than Devilman Crybaby, the recent Jumanji movie and much more.

(0:00 – 35:15) Alvis Day Review: Penguins Memory – This is an anime that has been mentioned on this podcast in the past many times, but it was only a matter of time before certain fansubbers finally got around to making this anime to the anime fandom public. It’s like the movie The Deer Hunter, but with penguins, only it’s not really The Deer Hunter. Penguins Memory is a unique film based off the premise off Suntory Beer ads mixed in with the common ethos of 1980’s Vietnam War movies at the time. It’s truly a film that anime fans need to check out eventually. Along with both hosts staying on topic for once, there is the off topic discussions of how CW superhero shows are trash, the passing of Hiromi Tsuru and other anime featuring animals fighting in wars.
(35:15 – 1:39:35) Closing Remarks – Typical banter follows this segment with Chris Chan latest stupidity on video and stuff about Ghost from TCR. Included is how Dustin has finally graduated university (since he’s been in school since three podcasts ago), the failings of Roy Moore, the US soldier that defected to North Korea died recently, how dumb people Master thesis’s can be, Thor 3 and Justice League discussion, upcoming movies in 2018, the Disney/Fox merger and a whole lot more. Stay tuned for the greatest religious story ever told by Captain Murphy in the zinger.
