Even though this is an “anime” podcast, we do care about what is coming out in the video game world at this years E3 event. What you should also know about this event is that Zeonic did not care one bit about this years E3, because when you are stuck at an airport in Chicago for a day coming back from an overseas trip; having an event about stuff that your gonna see in storesin a few months should be the least of one persons worries. But Josh, Jonn and our guest known as “Tee Why” are able to step in and fill in what Zeonic missed out in this years E3 because of his jetlaggin layover from Japan. If anything, Zeonic is focused on the World Cup right now, because sports and stuff.
We pretty much stay on topic as Zeonic gets the post “inside” scoop of titles that he 90 precent doesn’t give a crap about. The gang talks about mostly what happened at the Nintendo panel/announcements, who won overall at the expo, and talking about games and technology in general. We also deviate from our discussion when it comes to the dangers of social media, picking fights with feminist on Twitter (actually no, this explains everything to you guys), thanking people who donated money to our cause (looking at you Trevor MCD. My bad on not mentioning your name in this episode, but we will give a shout out to you in the next episode for sure!), never getting around to talking about Zeonic trip to Japan, and all around talking about other things semi related.
Music Selection:
OP – I’ll let E3 drop some mad beats for me…
ED – This is what I expect the new Nintendo game to totally have…

It’s been exaclty 18 episodes since we covered the first volume of Gundam the Origin manga, and for that… we have zero excuses as to why its been that long (no wait, it’s all Josh’s fault). The bigger question is, is it going to be take another 18 more episodes to get to volume 3? I am not even sure if we can be at liberty to answer that question at this time. But hey, we finally got around to talking about volume 2 now. We also get to dive into the Dragonball Z movie that came out last year, Battle of Gods, and finish things up with our thoughts on the last days of Sword Art Online being on Toonami. This episode was also recorded on the new mic I got, and as you can probably tell, I sound kinda different. I am still working out the kinks on how to make it sound, so well see how that goes down in the next few episodes (or if I just need to go back to the old USB Headset).
0:00 – 34:05: So after all this time of mentioning an episode to review Gundam the Origin Vol. 2 in our past episodes, that day has finally come. We pretty much discuss changes made in the manga from the anime series that we were able to point out and give our take on it. Of course, like usual fare, we don’t stay on topic much, not when I say that Brony’s have their own docutmentary, people who hate old UC Gundam shows at comic book places, general Gundam talk (cuz thats how we do it,) the dubs of Streamline anime, how Gundam was animated back in the day and much more. There was also an issue with a transition from us talking about Bright B(right)-slapping Amuro in the manga to getting in the middle of a discussion of Double Zeta. All you need to know is that is how GarageBand works for us.
34:05 – 1:05:20: After talking about this film a little bit on our AIM chatroom a few days before we recorded, we decided to also give our thoughts on last year’s Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods movie. For a film made almost 20 years after Wrath of the Dragon, it seems to be an all around fun movie for true Dragonball Z fans. This gets us to mostly talk about Dragonball Z in general (or really Zeonic’s recollection of a show he hasn’t seen in almost a decade at this point), how people think it’s a good idea to make a 1080p video of Gundam Wing openings, our favorite lolcow news and more.
1:05:20 – 1:43:20: While in the middle of Jonn’s closing remarks on Love_that_Goku becoming a Satanist, Josh brings up a much more pressing matter at hand than anything we have discussed so far, SWORD ART ONLINE IS FINALLY OVER ON TOONAMI!!!! We relished in our celebration to bring you our thoughts on the last 2 episodes of that god forsaken show. Of course, we called upon a man who we have mentioned his name in passing several times in the past; a man who is our source of SAO knowledge, and a man who can only be called upon as… “C.G.” (ChibiGoku). Along with SAO bashing and smashing, we discuss if Japanese might be true rednecks, VHS/VCR tech talk, what’s going on in Toonami, how we celebrated SAO last episode, how the new Robocop film is pretty good, and much more.
Next time, you can expect us to get into the zone for our March (and probably April) review of a particular 80’s anime gem.
We also want to give a shout out to Otaku Generation for playing our promo on their most recent episode.
Music Selection:
OP – After a long sleep, we awake once again…
ED – We get to rock out with a cool dragon…
This show has:
Man… this will be a great performance from Chris Sabat for sure…
Hate crimes against Brony’s is a serious offense guys…
I’ll let you guys judge on what is the best dub…
Playing Games: Xbox Saturday
I haven’t posted one of these things in almost a year since we started, but I’d figure its high time we did one again. My goal was to make this something my co-host and I can do as Lets Plays, but our schedules are kinda different and so is our tastes in games it seems.
This time I’m gonna post up Xbox games that I picked up and decided to try them out for a short period of time, or till I got fustrated enough at the game and i’m like “well FORGET THIS!!” This is a pre-Christmas gift for you guys kinda, but there will be something out on Christmas for you guys, so stay tuned.
Part 1 – I was trying out my Murakumo game that this counts as the second time playing it, and it would have been fine if my stream wasn’t disconnected randomly. (I should also mention I have a mic right next to the speaker output because the audio settings on my Dazzle stream video component device wont recognize audio in the FLash Media Live Encoder program for some reason and that was the only ghetto way I could jerry rig sound for the stream.)
AoY Podcast #19 – E3 2013 Talkback

Also known as: “Just let it happen, it’ll be over soon…”
Which is also: “It became a Marathon walk through… with no visuals!”
Every year, nerds from all over the globe focus in on one particular spot in California, where the mightiest of game publishers and developers gather to showcase video games that we the consumer will purchase in the next coming months. This years E3 was of course a bit different, as we see Microsoft goofing up (and standing by it) while Sony was made to be the hero of the whole darn show.
We cover what we remember of the press conferences by Microsoft, Sony, EA, Ubisoft, and talk about the things Nintendo did to make the fans even happier. This is of course filled with other minor side discussions like how our certain guest like to be on the phone and podcast at the same time, Jeff and his love of Bungie’s Marathon games, the potential target audience for the next Pokemon games, our views on the Xbone vs PS4, our opinions on the whole DRM/used games debate, our thoughts on announced games and much much more.
Special Guest: Jeff and Andy from The Daily Anime Podcast, our “internet correspondent” DaftPunkFan, and Peter Fay from The Peter Network.
