To celebrate the belated 30th anniversary of the greatest OVA of all time, Bubblegum Crisis, both Dustin and Jonn thought it would be fitting to celebrate the film that inspired the creation of Bubblegum Crisis, and that is Techno Police 21C.
(0:00 – 1:11:00) Review: The “Ultimate Non-Bubblegum Crisis Review” Techno Police 21C – To all those anime reviewers that were all about the Bubblegum Crisis anniversary and celebrating its monumental achievement to anime, they can go rot for all we care, cuz SCREW THAT NOISE! This podcast gets down to the real roots of where Bubblegum Crisis began, in a dumb, theatrical, cheezy robot film done by the original creator of Bubblegum Crisis, Toshimichi Suzuki. If you the listener are thinking “What the hell’s the AOY Podcast problem not covering Bubblegum Crisis?” (or other problems we have in general), the answer is that Dustin and Jonn covered Bubblegum Crisis for it’s 25th anniversary, and all those episodes are on our review page for you to check out that came from another podcast Jonn and Dustin used to do. This also includes off topic banter about making a bank into a crystal triangle, Mike Judge secret anime stash, retard robots ride the short bus, Dustin Wesley Willis impersonation, this movie inspired other great films to be made, comparisons between Techno Police and Bubblegum Crisis, technical issues and much more!
For other good content on Bubblegum Crisis, check out The Anime Nostalgia podcast discussion of it with Sean O’Mara, which Sean also has done reviews of Bubblegum Crisis for Zimmerit.moe.

(1:11:00 – 1:58:48) Closing Remarks: As per the usual, some political talks gets into our discussion regarding that Milo dude and those left-winged peeps, but then other pressing matters come up. Such matters as how Love that Goku is out to destroy the Alt-Right, A former TZ Member boycott against My Anime List, Belledona of Sadness was on TCM the same night as Toonami, people on twitter who turned gay from Cartoon Network, live action anime film talk, RIP Bill Paxton and Robert Osbourne and so much more.

AoY Podcast #100 – Night on the Galactic Railroad Review (w/ Jeff)

LOOKS LIKE WE MADE IT!! 100 episodes, 100 reviews, 100 crappy stories of closing remarks, and more than 100 followers to our site! Well, we decided to do our special review for this episode on Night on the Galatic Railroad as request from Jeff from the Daily Anime Podcast.
(0:00 – 48:00) Review: Night on the Galactic Railroad – So for our special 100th episode, Jeff has graced our presence to taking a ride on the galactic railway to your imagination.. maybe. Galactic Railroad may also be the sleep aid to your insomnia, or your children, which can work with Odin: Photon Space Sailor Starlight. This is an anime that means a lot to Jeff, which Dustin can see some of that in the film. We also dive into off topic (and semi-0n-topic) items such as how we got banned from Twitch.tv for streaming anime/movies, religious and Christian beliefs, how current anime fans get anime compared to the days or finding them at rental stores, and a little more added in. Also to note, Dustin did zero editing to this episode, because screw it, were doing it live!
(48:00 – 1:38:50) Closing Remarks: Oh boy, so much has happened since Jonn and Dustin sat down in front of the mics, and boy is their tales to tell. Everyone has their view on how the election is going, even our non-fellow capitalist Ghost from TCR. On the brighter side, love_that_goku is back and Jonn recants the current events in his life, even how LTG is trying to make his own path from Ecuador to Beirut. We spend too much time on a former ToonZone member and his sexual endeavors, and of course talking about whatever else. All this and much more in our grand 100th episode, and hope for another 100 more!!
Music Selection:
OP – No better way to celebrate our grand one oh oh episode with some eurobeat music
ED – Vote Mike “Race Bannon” Pence 2016!
This show has:
He is a man who makes his own path, his own destiny… welcome back love_that_goku…
If your gonna buy something to ride, make sure you can ride it…
This is how true anime fans roll on getting their anime…
AoY Podcast #64 – Belated Easter Special (Crystal Triangle OVA Review)
Also known as: “CURISTAR TRIANGURU DESU!”
and also: “I applove deproy Pracific Freeto… Moses Plan!”

It is the day after the resurrection of the son of God for people of the Christian faith. We celebrate this time by either going to a church for the first time since Christmas, getting the day off of school or work for Good Friday, and maybe getting some bible reading thrown in for good measure. However, Zeonic and Jonn decided to keep up with tradition (starting from last year) to watch an anime with Christianity being highly misinterpreted. We look no further than the masterpiece OVA, Crystal Triangle.
(0:00 – 15:10) PreReview Discussion: This is just a way for Jonn and Zeonic to ramble on about things to empty ones mind for the Crystal Triangle holy message to be bestowed upon them. This includes Zeonic ramblings about his computer issues, while Jonn brings up the Social Justice issues about whats going down in Indiana. To be honest, it’s the hosts way of saying “Man, do we ‘really’ have to review Crystal Triangle? Ugh… let’s get this over with…”
(15:10 – 55:12) Review: Crystal Triangle OVA: It’s been a good while since we talked about older anime, so it’s high time we got back into the swing of things. Crystal Triangle seems to be “that” anime that people know about too be “that” anime. Zeonic see’s it as his 2nd worst anime of all time, while Jonn ranks it below his Pilot Candidate “low-end-yard-stick-of-crap.” It’s amazing that at one point, this anime sold on laserdisc for 120 bucks, which in today’s anime world, would anyone in their right mind spend that much for it (other than Mike Toole perhaps?). Perhaps it’s the “engrish” and “lussian” dialect in this anime that’s confused the TRUTH of God’s Message to be fully interpreted for us, which is why we couldn’t take this movie too seriously. We also mention the TRUTHful location of where the bible might be held, forums that don’t like Evangelion, Urashiman on The Anime Network, and Samurai Pizza Cats talk.
(55:12 – 1:19:39) Closing Remarks: This is the part where we look towards our “Podcast Pillars of the Holy Trinity” for spiritual guidance, where we mention the updated accounts of two of those pillars which are Chris Chan and Love_That_Goku. After knowing that Love_That_Goku feeds LARPers dirt, Jonn gives an internet account of what happened at Chris Chan recent trial, which means he’s gonna roam free for a little while longer, and how he might tie up his Gal Pals from high school. Zeonic mentions his accurate predictions off episode one of Sword Art Online 2 to be THE TRUTH, and mention about a guy who will be on a future podcast soon. All this and more in this weeks episode, see yea next time… (aka, stay tuned for the zinger at the end…)

With Banzaicon ending the weekend as this podcast comes out (and Zeonic still getting things ready as he is writing this post the day before he leaves for the con), the crew were able to come together and join in the Holy Trinity once more to be able to review something that ended on Toonami not too long ago. In this episode, you get to ride the funkadelic groove of Zeonic, Jonn and Josh talking about Space Dandy Season 2.
(0:00 – 1:19:14) Review: Space Dandy Season 2: Man, what a hell of an ending to “one hell of a show” – Jonn. I don’t know if anything as unique or interesting as Space Dandy will be made in a very long time, unless another Space Dandy comes out. Or then again, maybe Space Dandy was made to save anime for everyone, because lord knows we need it. We should inform you that we do get to SPOIL things from this past season, as Zeonic is able to read off the episode summaries in wikipedia, while Jonn and Josh get to chime in on what they wanted to say on each episode. Space Dandy should also mark the second time someone has passed away while having a role in the show, as the most recent death of Toshiro Hirata wasn’t too far away. We get to mention that Mike Toole wrote a column for ANN about his favorite episodes, and Ben from AniPages is connecting all the dots to everyone who has worked on this show, and gives his straight forward opinions on them as well. Of course, before we get into anything about Space Dandy, we ramble about getting sex offers on Skype at the beginning of this recording; and then end things off with the state of anime today, mention movies, the end of traditional saturday morning cartoons, along with the recent statuses of Love_That_Goku and Chris Chan. All this and more in this weeks episode.
Bonus Content: As we stated in the podcast, you can view the Space Dandy Official Fan Book from Zeonic main site by clicking on the highlighted text in this paragraph. Just a heads up.
