Man, how time does fly, and the same goes for the previous 59 podcast episodes we’ve done since day one. So to celebrate this occasion, it really isn’t anything too spectacular. This is a two and a half hour “unwind” session with Jonn and Zeonic for this years celebration, which range from school, medical talks, movies, video games, and all of the above. We want too thank our listeners for their comments and feedback (as well as some spare change on the side), and we don’t plan on going anywhere for the next two years. So, here is what we got in store…
(0:00 – 1:20:31) 2nd Anniversary Special Part 1: The first 30 minutes or so were recorded the the night before the rest of the recording came in, and we would have kept it going hadn’t Jonn internet went out. In the first part, we discussed topics like the ongoing debate over “what is art?,” followed by a leaked account of how much money Chris Chan spends on WiiU games, Jonn medical background and why he was out of commission for a while. After the transition, we then talk about what we got for Christmas, which included talk about Gundam the Origin, Nintendo WiiU and Smash Bros. talk, Zeonic experience in watching Nadesico with his girlfriend, and learning Spanish in high school.
(1:20:31 – 1:23:02) Podcast Promo’s: We seem to be contracted to keep playing promo’s for Alpha Counter, which with us having Sean Ryan on the last episode with us, we call that a winning investment. You can also check out Mating Habits of the Modern Geek podcast, were nerds everywhere can learn the secrets of getting their desired significant other… which might involve changing oneself to do so. We went ahead and put up a promo for Fast Karate, since Jojo’s has started back up, they will continue the legacy of dissecting to the core of what Jojo’s really is.
(1:23:02 – 2:35:16) 2nd Anniversary Special Part 2: Here is were we get to talk about movies that have recently been to theaters, such as the last Hobbit film, Hunger Games Mocking Jay Pt 1, The Interview and that last Sin City movie. Of course most of our discussion will be in talking about the upcoming movies for this year based off the trailers we have seen. This includes Star Wars Episode 7, Jurassic World, Avengers 2/Marvel movies in general, and that new Terminator Genysis movie. Of course we can’t help but to get into off topic territory with us discussing the Star Wars universe in general, the James and Mike play of the Shadows of the Empire N64 game, pissing on Rob Leifeld art, and much more.

This takes us back…
Yep, that might sum up this next movie…
This was something I got in the mail this past week from the guys over at Colony Drop, which one of them was selling some of his games on twitter and had this title in the photo that I picked up. Upon wanting to get this game for years now to add to my Dreamcast collection, it is not what I expected it to be. The first half of the video is me trying to look at gamefaqs.com to see what the heck to do on the one FAQ guide they have on this game, which led to me failing the first mission. I was able to get it the second time around, and then decided to just call it a day from there.
I basically went through a stack of PSX games I got when I was in Japan for about an hour and a half today. Ill spare you the details, you wanna see me actually “do” something, skip to the 30 minute mark, because all I did was try and figure out HOW TO MOVE THE DARN YAMATO!!! After that it was trying out 2 Gundam games (one unplayable and the other unable to play) and I just gave up on the One Piece game there after. Click this giant amount of text to see the Twitch.tv video, because the video players I have posted before automatically play on the site without you doing anything to it. Next time, I might just play some of the PS2 games I got, maybe.

This was a review that was a long time coming, which this seems to be the most appropriate time to cover it. After making its mark in Japanese theaters on July 7th 1984, this has been a movie that fans have grown to love and appreciate over the years. From the die hard of them all to the young at heart, Macross has left an impressionable mark in animation going back to the early 1980’s. And what better way for there to be a retelling of a series than with Super Dimensional Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? I should note, we mostly stay on topic, if that means anything to you listeners.
Review: SDF Macross: Do You Remember Love? This film is a piece that, from the hardcore to the intermediate of anime fans, need to see once in their lives. This film is so powerful, that not even companies can obtain the full rights to it on both sides of the globe, which has been in constant legal battle since it’s creation so long ago. Even so, many people who worked on this film and were involved have made a name for themselves in the anime industry since then. So, what better way for Zeonic and Jonn to give a “semi” spoiler free (you heard right!) discussion on this film as a whole, where they both talk mostly about the history of this film and those who worked on it; and how it’s been distributed across the globe. This also gives Zeonic and Jonn a chance to discuss Macross and Robotech in the states, which was able to leave such a major mark in shaping anime fandom to where it is today. This also has them talking about their experiences seeing this movie for the first time, the legal issues surrounding the movie and the television series over the years, Harmony Gold rantings, bootleg anime talk, Gamestop/EB Games talk, the current issues with Let’s Plays, and much more. Also, CLASHING OF THE ZINGEROIDS SOUNDS! at the end.
The Anime World Order treatment of this film (I mean hey, we have played their promo).

Jonn is right, these intros to Macross are totally awesome…
So yea, I think I can officially say we are done with Justin.tv since all my videos going back 4 or so years ago are now long gone. I streamed like an hours worth of stuff on that site with my import copy of Macross VFX for the PSX and some Windjammers/Shock Troopers play; which has all seemed to have disappeared in time. So after a bit of fiddling with getting introduced to Twitch.tv, I now have something to show you guys, and that’s just more Windjammers game play. I should note, that I am totally neglecting my duties as the podcast editor by NOT working on getting a new episode out, unless I feel like doing that later tonight or tomorrow. I guess well see about that. But, here is some video games for the time being, enjoy.
